This is a modeling lab for students to explore how environmental stresses impacts physical characteristics of two species that rely upon each other for survival. In the lab students will be modeling the anatomy of a bird's beak and the type of flowering plant that the bird would best fit for both obtaining food (i.e. seeds) and allowing the plant to continue to flower (i.e. not destroying flower while obtaining food). While the idea of the lab is to explore co-evolution, it can very easily be modified to simply examine producer consumer interactions within a food-web.
