In this set of lab activities, students will use different snack items to model and visualize plate movement and three types of plate boundaries - convergent, divergent, and transform. Students will draw their models and answer analysis questions for each of the 5 activities. This lab activity aligns with NGSS standard HS-ESS2-1 as part of a full unit.

This product is arranged so that the first two instruction pages are not to be written on. I suggest that they are printed double sided and laminated for student use and reused for multiple classes/years (this activity can get messy!). The remaining student pages can be copied and stapled for students to complete their analysis questions.
