Product Description

NGSS LS1-2 Develop and use a model to illustrate the hierarchical organization of interacting systems that provide specific functions within multicellular organisms.

Students collaborate with 3 other students to develop a basic model relating the hierarchical levels for life. The students identify, define, and create visuals for 3 of the 12 levels: Atoms, Molecules, Organelles, Cells, Tissues, Organs, Organ Systems, Organism , Population, Community, Ecosystem, and Biosphere. Then students use the model to determine if something is classified as alive. Bolded levels are part of the organismal group and classified as living.
