Product Description

In this activity students use previously taught skills to make their own periodic table . They only need to be able to do the following to create the table.

- Create bohr model for atom

-Create Lewis structure for Atom

- Write electron configuration for atom

For a set of elements students will do the following

"Instructions: For each element complete the following

1. List symbol , mass , and atomic number(A#)

2. Create Bohr model

3. Create Lewis Diagram

4. Write electron configuration "

Once students have made the table they explore the table by answering self guided questions.

This activity covers the following NGSS standard

HS-PS1-1 Use the periodic table as a model to predict the relative properties of elements based on the patterns of electrons in the outermost energy level of atoms.
