This resource includes three short activities on modern applications of evolution, such as the peppered moth, antibiotic resistance, and pesticide resistance.
Along with teaching the basics and the theory of evolution, it is important for students to realize that evolution is a process that is still acting, constantly. These activities could be used individually, all three together, or as stations or a jigsaw activity to reinforce these concepts.

- each comes with a small activity (graph and/or questions to answer)
- Modified version of the each activity with scaffolding.
At the end of this activity students should be able to explain how each of these examples of evolution occurred, the risks associated with pesticide and antibiotic resistance, and practice their graphing skills.
