In this Google Slides lesson, students will analyze and listen to a video of a modern-day Romeo and Juliet story of a couple from Afghanistan. It is designed for Newcomer to Intermediate level students. They will then write about this after responding to questions in a Somebody Wanted But So template. This lesson includes vocabulary and a warm-up. It also includes:

-Teaching tips

-Annotated language objective

-Sentence order activity with short Romeo and Juliet summary

-Speaking activities with vocabulary (Calderon's 7-step vocabulary style)

-Exit ticket
