The Modernist movement became a popular style of photography during the 1910s-1940s. Modernist photographers produced straightforward images of modern life with the lens in sharp focus.
This lesson will introduce students to Modernist photographers while guiding them through higher level thinking. A great way to lead students through image analysis with a graphic organizer to teach students the steps of describing, analyzing, interpreting, and judging images.
