This differentiated Algebra mini-project integrates career exploration with Math so SPED teachers will be able to fulfill transition services (career exploration) while teaching academic subjects.
It begins with a story that MS and HS students can relate with: they want to buy new shoes. But there is a twist here. A friend introduced the main character to Print-on-Demand (POD) Design or selling t-shirts and hoodies you design online. The purpose of this story is to integrate the Math lesson with career exploration, specifically, online opportunities that students can try.
The story and Math problem is aligned to common core standards, transition goals, common core connectors and math practices and 21st century skills.
Three types of modified/guided worksheets are included according to the levels of the students. Answer sheets are provided.
