Product Description
This guided inquiry lab is designed for high school Biology students who have no prior experience with molecular modeling. Students will use molecular model kits (not included) to create 3-D models that illustrate the ways carbon combines with other atoms to form the essential macromolecules of life.
The lab includes the creation of 11 molecules using a variety of single, double and triple bonds. The models increase in difficulty to the point of creating carbon rings.

This makes a great addition to a Chemistry of Life unit that discusses carbon, lipids, proteins, carbohydrates or nucleic acids.
