Solutions Lab Activity Pack:
Your students will get hands-on experience identifying the solutes and solvents used in several solutions. The slide presentation covers basic definitions of atoms, molecules, compounds, three states of matter, and properties of physical and chemical changes. The lab gives step-by-step instructions for identifying physical properties of solutions when dissolving salt, sugar and lemon. Students will conduct experiments on the solubility of both iron filings and sand. There is also a fun activity the students will love testing the solubility of chocolate and saliva!
