Product Description
Molecules break down during digestion. However, this lesson/worksheet is a great guide in helping teach the topic. Considering that the students should have a background on the digestive system, this lesson should help be a stemming from that concept.

Vocabulary included:
- Micromolecules (Small Molecules)
- Macromolecules (Large Molecules)
- Carbohydrates
- Proteins
- Lipids

Additionally, in each section of the document, on the arrows the answer key will tell you what sentences to add in to help describe which parts of the digestive system are involved in the break down of what is in the food we eat.

Explain to the students that we know the function of the digestive system as to break down food, but guide them to understand by showing them an item of food (nutrition facts) and get them to thinking critically about what is in the food that breaks down (macromolecules which turn into micromolecules).
