This product is everything the busy classroom needs! You'll receive a FULL day of Thanksgiving themed lesson plans based on Molly's Pilgrim by Barbara Cohen (a lesson for reading, writing, math, science, and social studies!).

How does this work?

Your download will come with 4 files: student activity sheets, teacher lesson plans, a Social Studies PowerPoint, and a PDF with Google Slide™ links. Simply print, gather your materials, and GO! No need to look for extra activities, or write out your lesson plans.

Lessons Included:

  • Reading: 4 activity sheets that focus on comprehension, compare/contrast, inferencing, and finding evidence. The comprehension questions can be used as an informal or formal assessment.
  • Math: 6 (carousel style) stations plus student recording sheets. Skills include addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, time, measurement, word problems, etc. These are aimed for a 4/5 grade level but may vary depending on the needs of your class.

Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
Recognize angles as geometric shapes that are formed wherever two rays share a common endpoint, and understand concepts of angle measurement:
