The Frog's Life Cycle is one of my projects that is a drawing lesson and an academic based lesson in one. A student usually needs to be at least 8-9+ years old to handle creating an entire scene around the main object. There are 15 pages of materials that include two different 1 hour lessons in how to draw the frog, its habitat, and the progression of its life cycle changes from eggs to frogs.
The regular Fact Sheet includes the description of frogs, its normal habitat and two recommended books to use along with the lesson. There are instruction pages for the teacher in how to progressively teach the various parts of the lesson. The usual warmup exercises are included in the lesson so the student can practice drawing the various stages of the frog’s metamorphosis. There are instructions for the teacher in how to create the layers in the drawing and how to use the best media to create realistic water and land elements.
