### Description

Money

This math center is called MYSTERY COINS : WHAT'S IN YOUR POCKET?

In this activity, students are required to figure out the combination of coins when given the value and the number of coins on a card with a picture of a pocket. To get a better idea of what the task is, look at the preview page 2 “This is what it should look like”. The coin combinations are up to 20 cents. There are no quarters included in the coin combinations. I intend on making a version with higher values.

Included in this set is:

15 mystery coin "pocket cards"

Student Directions

Recording Sheet

2 Answer Keys (one for amounts, 1, 5, and 10 and one for Letters P, N, and D)

Smartboard Version of the 15 pocket cards (look on the preview to see)

Bulletin Board Ideas with directions, templates, and bulletin board letters to cut

I think your kids will have fun guessing the “Mystery Coin” combinations. Enjoy!
