Create Your Own Luck – Money Bingo has been designed with the intention of helping special needs students gain confidence identifying symbols and methods of American payment in a fun and functional way. Students create their own Bingo Board and you create the play. Once Bingo Boards are assembled you can give students clues to the chosen method of payment or symbol. Optimized for large group play with four or more players. There are countless ways to reinforce money sense and have fun as a class.

Step 1: Print or copy enough Money Bingo Boards (Page 3), Money Bingo Squares (Page 4) and Money Bingo Chips (Page 5) for each student.
Step 2: Print 1 Set of Money Bingo Caller Cards (Pages 6-10).
Step 3: Cut out Money Bingo Caller Cards along dotted lines.
Step 4: Have students cut out all Money Bingo Squares (Page 4) along dotted line.
Step 5: Have students randomly select nine of the eighteen Money Bingo Squares.
Step 6: Have students paste their selected Money Bingo Squares onto their Money Bingo Board (Page 3). You can discard unused Money Bingo Squares or use them to create a second Money Bingo Board.
Step 7: Have students cut out Money Bingo Chips (Page 5) along dotted line.
Step 8: PLAY!
How To Play:
Play as you would any other Bingo game. I generally play by randomly picking a card from the Money Bingo Caller Cards and then devise a clue to the method of payment or symbol chosen. For example, if you choose the dime I might ask what coin is worth 10 cents?
You will want to closely monitor students as they create their Bingo Boards to make sure they are not copying each other or placing denominations in order. You may wish to play this on a regular basis so laminating Money Bingo Boards (once assembled by students), Money Bingo Chips (before they are cut out) and Money Bingo Caller Cards (before they are cut out) is HIGHLY recommended.
