Similar to the game headbands- in this game students have to identify both the face and back side of quarters, nickels, dimes, pennies, golden dollars, fifty cent pieces, and dollar bills(1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100). There are different ways to play this game, it is perfect for both math and social studies! This game can be adjusted for any number of players and any grade level. It is great for learning about currency in social studies, and for adding money in math!
I have used it with my third graders when learning about United States currency and presidents! The kids love it, and it makes a great center game once they have learned to play!
Students use knowledge about what money is worth and how it looks to give each other clues!! It is a great game to get students to think critically about money!
