Product Description
“Las Caras de las Monedas”: Students will study the different coins. They will cut the back face of the coins and will glue them under the correct matching coin flap.

2. Cut and glue the second foldable in the journal. Underneath each flap write the value of each coin.

Students will study different ways to make different value. They should discover the more a coin is worth, the more ways there are to make that value with the use of different coins. Students can put some of those possibilities under each flap.

The students will write down the skip counting pattern for each coin. 1¢ = 1 en 1; 5¢ = 5 en 5; 10¢ = 10 en 10 etc. Using page 6 and 7: Print and cut out the following coin cards. Use these cards to change up the oral skip counting the students do. Example (Show the nickel) 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 (show the dime) 35, 45, 55 (show the penny) 51, 52, 53, 54 etc.

5. Page 8: Compare and contrast two sets of coins.

6. Page 9: Vocabulary

7. Page 10: Practice writing with both symbols.
