Use this money game to help your students count coins to $1.00! Coin War is the perfect money game for extra practice counting money and comparing groups of coins. Students will have fun playing this differentiated coin game while they learn! Use it for a quick review or add it to math stations.
Coin War is a twist on the traditional card game, "War." Instead of comparing numbers, players count the coins on their cards and the player with the largest amount of money wins the hand.
This math game includes directions and 16 pages of fully colored coin cards (128 card in all). The coin values are less than one dollar. Coins include pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and half-dollars in a variety of combinations. The set also includes 8 practice pages.
To help teachers differentiate
quickly and easily, the cards and practice pages are organized as follows:
• pennies and nickels
• pennies, nickels and dimes
• pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters
• pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and half-dollars
It's easy to make different sets based on student needs!
This game is also available as part of a Coin War Bundle, which also includes
Coin War to $2.
