Product Description
This is a great game to play in a math center, as a fast finisher activity, or as a part of a math lesson. Students have to roll a dice and place money on their boards, combining coins as they go to try to reach a total of $1, $2, or $5 (Ending goal amount depends on which amount you or they have chosen to play to). This game is easy to learn and provides a fun way for your students to become familiar with coins, and practice counting money, as well as combining several smaller denominations into one larger ones (e.g. 10¢ - 10¢ - 5¢ can be taken off the board and replaced with 25¢) as they work their way across the board adding money to achieve their goal.
I store each set of the money game in a large Ziploc freezer bag. Each large bag contains 2 game boards (photocopied onto manila tag and laminated for longevity), 2 game board dice made out of blank wooden cubes (labelled 1¢, 5¢, 5¢, 10¢, 10¢, 25¢), and 2 small Ziploc bags of money (Plastic play money is probably easiest to use. However, if that is not available, I have included money to photocopy).

This download includes:
- A pair of money game boards (one 11 x 17 sheet which needs to be cut into two)
- Money game instruction card for students to use
- Reproducible coins and bills
I hope your student really enjoy this game, and that it gives them a fun and easy way to increase their understanding and confidence when learning the concept of counting money.
