### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The games included in this product were created to meet the individual needs of my students. I have students who do not know the names and values of the coins, those who can name the coins but not the value of each, those who know them by name and value but have difficulty counting unlike coins, and those who are able to count coins and need additional practice to become proficient. Games were created for use during guided math to meet these diverse needs.

Games Include:

What’s the Value?: Students spin a coin, and use the coin to cover its value. 2 versions—-one with spinner on board and one with separate spinner.

Coin Match-Up : Students spin coin name, choose correct coin to match name, and use it to cover its value. 2 versions—-one with spinner on board and one with separate spinner.

This Little Piggy!: Students spin and cover two coins greater than, less than, or equal to 50¢. 2 versions—-one with only heads and one with heads and tails.

The Great Shake-Up!: Students draw coins out of bag, count them, and compare value with partner. 2 versions included—-one requiring students to draw 4 coins and one 8 coins.

Save a Dollar!: Students take turns pulling a coin from a bag and counting on until a dollar is saved.

Give Me \$5!: Students take turns pulling a coin from bag and counting to total \$5. Students trade coins for dollars on the way to earning \$5. A second version that allows students to pull 3 coins at a time is also included for faster game play.

Fill Your Cart!: Students draw item cards, count a given list of coins, and determine if they have enough money to buy the item.

While games are differentiated for a variety of needs, you can further differentiate The Great Shake-Up!, Save a Dollar!, and Give Me \$5 by customizing the coins in the bag.

All Second Grade Common Core Mathematics Standards for money are addressed with these games.
