This free money matching card game can help students identify coins and their values. There are 13 matches (26 cards) containing the following coins:
*penny - front and back
*nickel - front and back, and new Jefferson coin
*dime - front and back
*Sacagawea gold dollar
Included are three PDF files and a PDF version of the rules. Players simply turn over two cards and if the amounts match, they must count the coins in front of the other player(s) and then take the cards. If the cards do not match, they turn them back over in place and lose a turn. When all the cards are collected, the player with the most matches wins.
These cards can also be used for telling math stories and creating word problems. They can even generate discussion about American coins and coin design.
PDF files have dotted cutting lines to make it easier to cut with a paper cutter.
