Description

Welcome to the Sweet Shop! Here your students can practice counting and adding money! These printables are designed to help you set up a "Sweet Shop" for Second Graders who are just starting to learn how to use money.

When I used these with my students, we set up a "Sweet Shop," where they could buy & sell the sweets that they wanted to eat. It served as a great motivator for them to learn the value of currency, and how to add & subtract it to purchase what they wanted!

Purchase includes:

  • 3 black/white Sweet Shop Money Practice worksheets
  • 3 black/white answer keys
  • Bazooka Zooka Bubble Gum Money Song Lyrics (that I use with my students to introduce money concepts)
  • Price Tags to be added to "sweets"
  • Printable "Sweet Shop" Sign to hang above play store/math center

This activity is such a fun way to teach kids money value, using money, adding subtracting etc! They will love it and pick the concept up quickly!

Other teachers said,

"This is a great resource for an online, mod/intense sped classroom!" -Sarah B.

This is a great activity! I used this with my lifeskills class. I used real cupcakes, cookies, and donuts and it really engaged the students. We did this activity a few times throughout the summer to work on money math.
