Use this Christmas themed Bingo game with your students to review adding money up to $3.
Each value is made with the fewest number of coins (uses the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, loonie and toonie). The bingo cards are organized so that the values increase as you go down and to the right.
There are 30 Bingo cards in this file for your students to add coins and track their progress towards a bingo.
There are 3 pages that have the 75 cut-out game pieces the teacher will pull throughout the game (not all of the values from 1¢ to $3 could be used – some values just take up too much space and the students would have a hard time counting the coins). Also included are Gingerbread Men pieces that can be cut out for your students (or just use counters or small candies to save paper and time).
Print out the cards in colour and laminate them to play next December or print using the grey-scale option to save ink – either way the students will be able to read and recognize the coin values.
If your students are struggling, I recommend printing the pages in greyscale and giving the student time to add the coins and write on the paper. Any students who are done early can colour their Bingo card and it gives students who need the practice more incentive to do the math.
I hope that you and your students enjoy reviewing coin addition!
