This game is meant to be used as a math center activity, after students have been introduced to basic money skills. It is played the same way as the traditional Memory, or Concentration, game but uses coins and bills that must be matched to a written money amount.
Included are 28 amount cards and 28 picture cards, with the money amount shown using the least coins possible. There are two versions of the amount cards- one that uses the ¢ symbol for amounts under a dollar (ex. 69¢) and one that uses only the $ symbol (ex. $0.69).
All amounts are less than $2.00. Both the heads and tails sides of coins are used to strengthen student recognition of coin appearances.
In addition to the memory game, the cards can be used for many other money activities as well!
