With this set of Rubrics you can assess student understanding of various coins and what they are worth.
Since concepts of money are generally taught with money manipulatives, I find it difficult at times to get an accurate grade on my students' understanding. There isn't always a worksheet that can be graded.
This set of rubrics includes Four Separate Rubrics with enough spaces to record grades for a class size up to 25 students.
Simply list your students in the column to the left side of the sheet. Mark each student based on their understanding according to the rubric descriptions for each section.
Then write the total score.
Finally divide the total score by the possible points (16 on these rubrics) and that will give you the final grade for each student.
The four rubrics include: Pennies and Nickels
Pennies, Nickels and Dimes
Pennies, Nickels, Dimes and Quarters
Coins and Dollar Bill
These are great for recording observations of students during an activity.
