This activity was designed to practice student's coin recognition and figuring the value of multiple coins. The game is played after the traditional "Scoot" game. There are 24 cards each with pictures of coins. Each card has a different value and students must try to figure out how much the coins on the card equal. There is a recording sheet that goes with it for students to write down their answer. This should be used for students who already know the different types of money and their value. This game only includes coins.
This is also a good activity to use to get students moving in the classroom.
You could also play this like a scavenger hunt and put the cards randomly around the room. The students will then have to find each one of the cards and solve the problem.
