PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

If You Made a Million by David M. Schwartz is another great book to use in the math classroom to introduce or review money. The main character begins by earning a penny then a nickel and so on..until she has earned a million dollars! Oh, what to do with a million dollars! We could save it and earn interest, we could put it in the bank and write checks or we could buy expensive things like a castle or a ferris wheel... all of which are discussed in the book. For the activity to accompany the book, students review their familiarity of coins and bills by making specific combinations such as $50 in 8 bills only or $1.00 using 6 coins. A great cross-curricular activity for your classroom.
