Money Spin, Tally, and Graph - Meets CCSS 1.MD.4
If you have any questions, please ask before purchasing :-) Thank you!
Students will spin using a pencil point and paperclip or you may attach a spinner/brad. Students will tally results at the bottom of the page using tally marks. Students may work independently or in partnerships.
Spinning and tallying provides great opportunity to discuss probability and outcome in student partnerships or in a whole group setting
Compare/contrast each student's/partnership's results.
Students will also transfer results by completing a graph.
For students working at higher ability, ask students to not only tally but write the total amount of each coin tallied or the total of all the coins tallied.
For students working at lower ability, complete in a small group, focusing on identifying coins, tally marks, and how to complete a graph.
