This is a great whole group instructional activity, independent workstation or center to use with your second graders on money. This activity is differentiated to meet the different needs of your students. I've included 8 story problems, all connected the use of counting money. There are three versions of these task cards (one with guided pictures for your students needing the most intervention, one with pictures for your students to use to draw in order to solve the problem for your developing students, and one without picture for your most advanced students.) How great would it be to have your students solving problems, but each of your students having the tools needed to assist them in problem solving?
