In this document you will find simple lesson ideas, independent work ideas as well as extras like parent newsletters and extra practice worksheets.
The lesson plans and materials are for an “on level” group. After you give the pre-assessment you may need to change the independent work materials. For instance for the work on numbers task- you might just have a specific group just do one of the jobs. For the math on my own task- you might need to add touch points before copying or give a more difficult worksheet. I didn’t add these to the plans because I or you won’t know how you need to differentiate until you see the data from the pre-assessment. You also might need to re-teach a whole group lesson before moving on- or just be able to skip it altogether based upon the knowledge of your class. Just like any textbook- please use these items as a resource. Use what you like and skip what you don’t! There are plenty of fun money review games etc. out there that you can use to supplement these as well. Many of the worksheets come from some of my other money TPT products. So if you buy this- no need to buy the other items as well.
I also use “new coin” clipart from mint.gov so that students are exposed to what new coins look like. A few years ago they had a new nickel head on the state testing and it threw many students from the answer! So my opinion that it is better to over teach!
