Money Math Pets Theme: Practice a variety of money skills with this pet themed mini-unit. These activities can be done as a whole group, or as a small group center. Five different games and printables that give students the opportunity to practice money skills including:
- calculating the value of a set of coins
- showing the coins needed to show a given amount
- word problems involving money, with unknowns in all positions
- adding coins
Pet Shop Puzzles: 2-piece (2 sets: large and small pieces) and 4-piece puzzles for students to match the amount with the coins.
Pet Shop Prices: a printable page for students to practice drawing coins to match prices.
Pet Shop BUMP: a partner game to practice counting coins
Pet Shop Word Problems: can be used as a small group center or whole class “Read the Room” activity; problems include unknowns in all positions; recording sheet included
Roll -a- Pet: small group or partner dice game to practice adding coins to make a total
