This activity goes along with the Harcourt math series (2005) Grade 2, Chapter 13, however, the material is just as good to cover the same skill in any series. The level of interactivity depends on the purpose of the activity. For example, in some activities the purpose is to be able to identify the amount rather than create it, so in that case the activity is not interactive. There are, however, many interactive activities. This particular file has 50 pages, the first five are shown in the sample download file. This file includes making the same amount of money in different ways; showing a certain amount with the fewest coins; comparing amounts of money as greater than, less than or equal to; comparing money amounts to prices; making change up to $1.00; subtracting money (two digit subtraction), using estimation to determine what you have enough money to buy.
