### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Need a quick resource to teach coins to K-2 students. This product includes graphic organizers, foldables and practice pages.
This unit is aligned with (K-2) Texas Math TEKS:
(K.4A) Identifying U.S. coins by name
(1.4 A) identify U.S. coins, including pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, by value and describe the relationships among them.
(1.4 B) write a number with the cent symbol to describe the value of a coin.
(1.4 C) use relationships to count by twos, fives, and tens to determine the value of a collection of pennies, nickels, and/or dimes.
(2.5A) determine the value of a collection of coins up to one dollar.
(2.5 B) use the cent symbol, dollar sign, and the decimal point to name the value of a collection of coins.
This unit is also aligned with (K-2) Common Core Standards:
CC 2.MD.8 - Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using \$ and ¢ symbols appropriately.
