This "Monkey Behavior Chart" helps with classroom management within the classroom. This visual behavior chart outlines the consequences within the classroom if rules or misbehavior has taken place. The behavior chart also comes along with the "Think Sheet" that students must complete in regards to their behavior. They must explain what they did and how they plan to improve their behavior. The form also requires student/teacher/parent signatures.
The consequences for the behavior/consequence chart are as follows:
*Tree Top Behavior (All students start out here)
*5 Minute Time Out
*Think Sheet with a 10 Minute Time Out
*Take a Trip to the Office!
When using this behavior system, I have it laminated altogether. You will need to provide each child with an object for them to move along the consequence chart. You can put student names on clothesline clips, magnets, accents, or on popsicle sticks. In my classroom, I have magnetic locker containers at each step so that students can place their popsicle stick in the cup that corresponds with the consequence.
