PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a 2 page "labtivity" that requires 4 popsicle sticks, 2 paper bags, and a basic calculator. The purpose of this activity is to show students that Punnett squares are simply prediction tools, though quite accurate.

Using popsicle sticks, students then perform a heredity simulation of "dragon feathers", and compare their results to that of their Punnett square. There are 3 critical thinking questions that students answer to follow up on the activity. The results and questions make a great class discussion to show students that it's all about the "roll of the dice" (or shake of the popsicle stick).
