As a class, students each get an equal number of cards. Call out a number and have the students with that sum come up and explain how they found the total. Great practice for composing or decomposing numbers.
In groups, students are given an equal number of cards and put their cards face down in a pile. Each student turns over the top card and finds their sum. The person with the highest sum, wins that hand.
This game includes:
2 cards for each expression
18 wild cards (can be played with or without the wild cards)
A total of 436 cards.
You can break this set up into smaller sets or leave it as is!
