A favorite of mine and students alike! Students design a monster genotype based on 5 characteristic options I provide them with, and each of these correspond to a mode of inheritance. Students then draw their monster's phenotype based on the genotype they selected. Once done, they do punnett squares with another student whose monster is of the opposite gender, and draw their offspring monster based to reflect the most common genotype in the genotype ratio. They then present their "monster family" to the class, so we can see how characteristics traveled through the generation.
