PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Do you struggle with your littles in getting them to use and spell the correct inflected ending? Look no further. This pack is full of fun activities to aide you in your instruction of inflected endings, using the -ed ending. Students will be out of their seats, walking around searching cards, while practicing their skills.

This pack has a monster theme so it can be used at any time of the year! {however, I did use it around Halloween in second grade, as it made that crazy time of year a little less chaotic with some "fun" learning squeezed in!}

This pack is fun, engaging and is very low prep. Print out the cards to hang around your room and copy the recording sheet and let them loose. (I do laminate my cards to save from year to year--and have handy when I need it) All recording sheet not only has students identifying different past tense verbs but also WRITING sentences using words they sorted for added practice and reinforcement.

What's included:
Wanted: Monsters-students will look at 2 words and decide which is spelled CORRECTLY.
Monster Line Up: students sort 3 different -ed words by the sound the -ed makes {/d/ /t/ or /ed/}
Double Trouble: students will look at the 2 words on the card and write the correctly spelled past tense versions, noting whether or not they need to double the consonant before adding -ed (one will be doubled, the other will not)
Monster Endings: students will look at words on cards and correctly spell the past tense word (and will use EACH word in a sentence)
WANTED: Monsters, irregular past tense verb version: students will look at 2 words on each Wanted poster and decide which is spelled correctly. (all words are irregular past tense... runned and ran, etc..)

I hope you and your students will love this as much as mine did! Keep an eye out for a blog post on my blog about it in the future!

Also, make sure to follow me here to find out when I add more inflected ending practice packets that will be similar in directions, to make your life easier!
