This packet has been designed as a sequel to The story “The day the Monster Came to School.” In the first story, the students are asked to teach the monster how to behave. This is meant to be a book of school routines and expectations to help the monster learn how to behave at school. Along with the story, you will find some “yes or no” question sheets to go with each part of the story. They are meant to be answered first before reading that page of the story. Then, as a class you will want to go back and find text evidence to support or change the statements. I like to use the questions on a large piece of chart paper but you could print them out and give each student a copy. I am very excited to use this resource to help teach routines and procedures the first 2 weeks of school. I hope it will be helpful to you as well.
