This simple but fun game is designed for your short articulation or fluency sessions (5-10 minutes) although it can also be used for longer sessions, too. Oh! This can also be used a reinforcement game for skills like answering questions, reading sight words, etc.
Just set a timer and begin drill. After your student says his/her articulation targets or uses fluency strategies to your liking (3 times, 5 times, etc) allow him/her to pick a card. If it’s a MONSTER CARD, he/she gets to keep it. If it’s one of the wild cards, follow the directions on the card. When the timer rings, the person with the most monster cards wins!
As an alternate way to play, have students say “MONSTER!!!" when each card is turned over OR make a sentence about the monster they picked.
* 25 fun MONSTER cards and 5 wild cards
* Sorry no list of themed words this time :)
Just print, cut, & play (laminate for durability). No wasted paper
