Monster Smash: Verb Tenses

Grab your blankie and prepare to smash some monsters! The goal of this receptive activity is for the student to accurately identify past, present, and future tense verbs.

Have a student choose a card and hand it to you, or you may choose a card for the group. Read the sentence on the card. The students then ‘smash’ the monster with the correct verb tense ( past, present, future ). You can turn this activity into a game by using the include reinforcement cards.
