PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Inspired by the Everyday Math program, Monster Squeeze is a fun game that children love to play over and over. This packet contains a color whole group teaching master, instructions for the math center, color-coded small group sets for cooperative learning groups, black and white for both, and a set of blank number lines for differentiation.

One child chooses a mystery number between 0 and 10. When a guess is made and the number is too small move the left monster to cover that number. If a number is too big then move the right monster to cover that number. Keep going until a correct guess is made or the monsters squeeze the mystery number. What fun!

Children can then play in small groups or pairs. Works great with cooperative learning teams. Laminate the blank number lines and use whiteboard markers to add higher numbers. As the children gain confidence with numbers they will want to experiment and challenge themselves.

Children will use the skill of comparing (CCSS K.CC.7), recognizing and reading numbers, and making decisions based on their understanding of where numbers are on a number line.

Thank you for purchasing this resource. Your feedback is appreciated.
Have Monster fun!
