Get students motivated to write this Halloween season! This simple descriptive writing activity can go along with the read aloud I Need My Monster
, by Amanda Noll, and assists students in using details to describe their imaginary monster under a bed. Students use the tools in this resource to plan and write a description of their monster. Students then illustrate their monster based on their description. The craftivity brings students' writing to life as their monsters are revealed by sliding their illustrations out from under a bed. This activity is fun, engaging, and is perfect for getting students excited about writing and sharing their published work.
