Product Description
Super fun to do with your class! Read the story ( I Need My Monster, by Amanda Noll.) We had the students then create their own monster by choosing either monster 1, 2, or 3. Monster 1 comes with two sets of different hair! Students can draw stripes, add spots, pom-poms, etc... Have them use their creativity!!! Copy each monster and hair on different colored construction paper. We used markers to design. The eye's should be copied on white construction paper. We then taught how to draw scary eyes inside. Some chose to do red veins on the whites of the eyes. We also allowed the students to chose how many eyes they wanted!
The pre-writing form was used with the following topic sentence... "Let me tell you about the monster under my bed."
We followed the step up to writing format and the students needed to write their own details based on the monster they created. I have also included the final writing paper to hang on your wall with their monsters!

Thanks to www.mycutegraphics.com! Super cute graphics!! Check them out! :)
