Montessori Infinity Street Place Value Activity with Recording Sheets
This resource includes the houses, people, and mailboxes for the Montessori Infinity Street lesson on place value from thousands through decillions.
Infinity Street Story:
Each number family lives in a yellow house on infinity street, and in each house lives units (green), tens (blue), and hundreds (red). The houses increase with size as they get larger, and the commas represent the "mailboxes" between each house to label the number family.
This works as an impressionistic lesson or activity. Two recording sheets are included for students to build numbers on infinity street using colored bead bars and record the number in word form; the sheets can either be laminated for use with a dry erase marker or as a pencil and paper activity.
Print on cardstock and laminate for repeated use. This can also be used for students to make their own personal infinity streets!
