Great resource for monitoring fluency progress!
This product is ideal for struggling readers, English Learners, and/or Special Education students. Each of the twelve non-fiction articles are thematically aligned for monthly fluency practice.
The workbook is set up for students to work in pairs. While one student is reading the article, the other is listening and marking fluency mistakes. Students read the article twice and are given one minute for each reading. When the minute is up, the words per minute are calculated, recorded, and plotted on the bar graph for the correct month. The fluency graph is an excellent progress monitoring tool for the student, teacher, and parents.
Everything is ready to print and includes:
Fluency Workbook Cover Page:
Copying and providing a workbook for each student saves time and keeps everything together. Students write their names on the front of the workbook, and the workbooks can be passed out when its time for fluency practice.
Fluency Reading Directions:

A graphing page is provided for students to create a bar graph after each monthly fluency read.
