Description

PLEASE READ: This is a zipped file with two secure PDFs and one semi-editable PowerPoint file. One PDF contains all printable forms. The second PDF contains a link to a Google Slides file. The PowerPoint contains reading logs and scoring pages with options to personalize the text.

This provides a way to organize a monthly independent reading program. Students have a page requirement each month and may choose books at their reading level to meet the page goal. This system can be adapted for any grade level but is targeted for grades 3+ when students begin reading longer chapter books.

Students report book titles and the page count of completed books to the teacher and take associated Accelerated Reader tests to verify comprehension. It is an efficient way to track free reading and does not use a daily reading log. Students report finished books in a reading log-- not daily minutes or pages.

Packet Includes:

**NEW** Digital Interactive Google Slide Notebook Pages for Google Drive. The product has a supplemental Google Slide resource, so student can track books electronically in a personal file each month.
