This pack is a great resource to keep your students practicing the common core standards all year!
I use this pack everyday in my classroom. Each month I print off a new pack for my students with the corresponding monthly page. My students are able to do it independently and it's an easy check to make sure they are getting the standards. I have an enlarged copy of all the pages on the board and then I fill in parts of the pages. Students copy what I have done and then fill in the missing parts in their calendar journal. If you don't have time to complete all the pages each day, rotating them is a great idea!
-A Cover Page for Each Month of the Year with fun clip art to correspond with the month
-"Today's date is…" page that has students identify the day of the week, ordinal number of the day, writing the date in digits, and writing the date in words
-"What time is it?" page where you can give students either the time on the face clock or the digital numbers. Students are to fill in the rest.
-"Number Patterns" page where each pattern has 6 numbers. I vary this in my classroom by giving my students just a few numbers in the pattern and they fill in the rest, or by giving them a rule and they fill in numbers to fit that pattern.
-"Money" page where students write the amount in dollars and cents. Students also draw the money. We put circles and then the first letter of the coin in the circle to identify it.
-"Number of the Day" page where students identify the hundreds, tens, and ones place of the number. Students also identify if the number is odd or even and write the number in word form, expanded form, and a number sentence that has the sum of that number.
-"Math Journal" page where students can answer to a prompt or explain their thinking behind getting an answer.
**I also put in a blank calendar page (not included) where students write in the number of each day in the month. I use the freebie calendar from this blog: http://mrsungerskinders.blogspot.com/2013/01/my-100th-blog-postand-freebies.html
