Are you using Open Ended Problems in your classroom? Open ended problems are a great way to engage and motivate your students. They are also an easy way to differentiate.
Included in this month's set is 20 multi-strand problems (numbersense, graphing, money, patterning, 2D shapes, measurement, and area). Many of the problems include parallel problems to help you differentiate for your students.
Worksheets and full sized task cards (pdf) and slides (in PowerPoint form) are included as well. I project the slides on to the screen and then my students solve the problems using manipulatives and blank chart paper.
Please note: These problems are based around celebrations in February (i.e. Ground Hog Day, Chinese New Year, 100's Day, and Valentine's Day).
