I hope you love this product as much as I do!
This product is broken up into three parts:
March 2018-August 2018 Reading Resolution calendars.
September 2018 – August 2019 Reading Resolution calendars.
Teacher Binder so you can track the students’ resolutions and progress as well.
What is a Reading Resolution?
Reading Resolutions are monthly, differentiated, flexible, goal-oriented Reading Logs that put the fun back into reading at home and takes the pressure off of you to check Reading Logs every single day.
How do I implement Reading Resolutions in my classroom?
On the first day of each month, pass out that month’s Reading Resolution calendar. Go over the month ahead having students label national holidays, school closings, or other disruptions to the month. Have them circle the last school day of the month to show when their resolutions are “due.”
What does Pacing Goal mean?
It took me a while to figure out what component was missing from the Reading Resolution. Some students struggled to find their pacing and binge read their last week. I developed the right hand column on the calendar to mend this gap.
What happens when students complete their resolutions?
This could be entirely up to you! I have a Classroom Store (see my Classroom Store bundle on Tpt!) All students who complete their resolutions are put into a drawing for $20 toward our classroom store. You could do a raffle or those students get to come to you for lunch/board games, etc.
The great thing about Reading Resolutions are that it they are completely differentiated and you can be as flexible with it as you would like to be, but it's ready to print and use!
I hope you enjoy using it! Please contact me with any questions and please leave feedback! Thank you!
